Getting started
RoomPoints is a free tool for comparing hotel award prices across the major loyalty programs. We show you how many points a stay costs, what those points are worth in cents per point (CPP), and whether booking with points beats paying cash — so you can spend your points where they go furthest.
Search a destination and your dates, and RoomPoints pulls live award availability and points pricing for matching hotels. Each result shows the nightly points cost, the cash rate, and the resulting CPP, with the best-value stays highlighted. You compare your options on RoomPoints, then book directly with the hotel or loyalty program.
Yes. Searching hotels, comparing award prices, and our calculators — the CPP calculator, points-vs-cash tool, and Sweet-Spot Finder — are completely free, with no signup required. RoomPoints Premium is optional and unlocks extras like instant price-drop alerts and a longer search window.
No account is needed to search and compare. You'll only need to sign in — by email, Google, or as a guest — to save favorites, create price alerts, or manage a Premium subscription.
Points & value
Cents per point measures how much value you get from each point you redeem. It's the cash price of a stay divided by the number of points it costs, expressed in cents. For example, a $300 night that costs 20,000 points is worth 1.5 cents per point. The higher the CPP, the better the redemption.
It varies by program, but as a rough guide anything above ~1.5¢ is solid and 2¢ or more is an excellent redemption. RoomPoints flags stays that beat each program's typical baseline, so you can spot the standout deals at a glance.
RoomPoints compares award pricing across the four major programs — World of Hyatt, Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, and IHG One Rewards — spanning tens of thousands of properties worldwide. You can also explore each program from the Brands section.
Yes. Every result shows the points price next to the cash rate, and the points-vs-cash tool helps you decide which is the better deal for a given stay based on what your points are worth to you.
Searching & booking
Use the search bar to enter a destination, your check-in and check-out dates, and the number of nights (up to five). RoomPoints then gathers live award results for matching hotels — this takes a few seconds while we query the programs — and lists them sorted by value.
No. RoomPoints is a comparison tool, not a booking agent — we don't process reservations or take payment. Once you've found the stay you want, you book it directly with the hotel's loyalty program, where you'll confirm final availability and pricing.
We pull award availability and points pricing live from the loyalty programs at search time, so results reflect current rates. Award inventory and prices can still change quickly, so always confirm the final cost on the program's own site before booking.
Award pricing changes constantly, and programs occasionally show different rates by region, membership tier, or promotion. If a price has shifted since your search, re-run it for the latest numbers and treat the program's own checkout as the source of truth.
Alerts & favorites
Price alerts watch a hotel and your dates for you and notify you when the points price drops or award space opens up — so you don't have to keep re-searching. Instant price-drop alerts are part of RoomPoints Premium.
Tap the heart on any hotel to save it to your favorites for quick access later. Your favorites sync to your account once you're signed in, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
Premium & account
Premium adds instant price-drop alerts, suite and premium-category redemptions, and an extended 365-day search window on top of everything in the free plan. You can see the full breakdown on the Pricing page.
You can manage or cancel your Premium subscription anytime from your account. Cancelling stops future billing and keeps Premium active through the end of your current period — there's no long-term commitment.
